SACRED HEART SEPTEMBER UPDATEWow! What a great start to the year! We are thankful for all the families who have joined us, and those who have prayed for us. It has been exciting to see the children's enthusiasm in the classroom, and the friendships forming in and out of the classroom! Read on for announcements and to learn about all our exciting upcoming plans!
Exciting Plans in the Works:
- Playdate with the Sisters! Join us on Tuesday, October 4 at 10:30 a.m. for a special playdate with sisters from the Home of the Mother order who are visiting from Jacksonville! These joyful sisters are offering their time to give our children a glimpse into vocations and religious life, and afterward will have a message of encouragement for the mothers of our group. Don't miss this special opportunity, feel free to invite a friend! Meet under the pavilion at the new All Children's Playground behind the PTC Library.
- Father Valery will do an Enrollment of the Brown Scapular after mass on Friday, Oct. 7, the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. Please bring a scapular if you would like to participate. If you are in need of a scapular, please let me know how many you need. We will also have our First Friday Devotion to the Sacred Heart and confessions to follow.
- As an act of service, please bring "Baby Shower" items to donate to the Pregnancy Aid Clinic! Collection on Friday, October 7.
- New and gently used accepted items are: children clothes up to size 2T, maternity clothing, baby equipment (strollers, pack 'n plays, bouncy seats, etc).
- New with tags items accepted: Toys, books, pacifiers, bottles, diapers, wipes, baby toiletries, breast pumps, stuffed animals.
- MNOs are back! Movie Night in September, Dinner in October! Clear your evening for a fun night with other homeschool moms! Gather this Thursday, September 29, at 7pm for St. Michael, the movie at Regal Cinemas in Ashley Park, Newnan. Let Britta know if you can join!

- Friday, September 30: Field Trip: Mass at St. Francis of Assisi in Cartersville and trip to the Etowah Indian Mounds;- Meet at St. Francis of Assisi for 9 a.m. mass with Father Kevin Hargaden! Afterwards we will drive just around the corner to the Etowah Indian Mounds to check out this historical site. Adults $6/Children $5. RSVP on GroupMe. Bring a picnic lunch!

- Friday, November 4: All Saints' Day Feast & Celebration! Come dressed as your favorite saint and be ready for a fun morning celebrating these heavenly men and women! This fun event is open to the entire homeschool community regardless of whether you typically join us for Friday classes.
- Monday, November 7: Playdate at Carl Miller Park in Newnan. 10:00 a.m. - 2 p.m. Bring a picnic lunch!- Friday, November 11: Mass, Curriculum Based Classes Meet- Friday, November 18: Field Trip to Midwest Food Bank, 9:30-11:30 a.m. Ages 4+, 25 person max.- Sign up will be sent out mid-October, pre-registration required.
- Friday, December 2: Mass, Curriculum Based & Supplementary Based Classes Meet- Friday, December 9: Mass, Curriculum Based Classes Meet- Friday, December 16: Mass, Curriculum Based & Supplementary Based Classes Meet
