Goals & Purpose: To promote an awareness of the sanctity and dignity of all human life, at all stages and conditions, by incorporating the Gospel into our daily activities. We strive to look upon each fellow human being as Jesus does with love, compassion, and joy by deepening our understanding of the basic issues surrounding what is required of us to Respect Life as a church and a community.
Responsibilities: Activities include celebrating in those events that encourage the belief that all life is to be respected. In October, we stand in a Life Chain with other parish family members in a peaceful public witness of pro-life individuals, praying for our nation and for an end to abortion. During Advent we spend time preparing for the birth of Jesus with our friends at Christian City. In January, we join other Catholics and Pro-Lifers in a silent, prayerful protest on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Throughout the winter months we are humble servants to our homeless brothers and sisters, sharing food, clothing, and love. In prayerful thanks to God for our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, we participate in a Patriotic Rosary during Fortnight for Freedom in July. And we continue to seek ways to ensure all human life has dignity and respect.
Time Commitment: As much as your servant heart can handle.
Training Requirement: John 15:12.
