Dear beloved St. Matthew family,

I give thanks to God in my prayer as I recall the many blessings He has poured out on the St. Matthew parish family these last eleven years. I am grateful for the many lives that welcomed me in during my pastoral time with the joys and the sorrows, the doubts and the questions, from the beginnings of faith in the waters of Baptism to the culmination in last rites and commendation of our beloved dead back to God and all the sacred moments in between. I am so grateful for the meals shared, the stories told, and the jokes groaned over.

For all the troubles and issues present over the years, I choose to remember the tender mercies more and treasure the graces poured out by the Lord. The parish family has grown both in size and in inclusion of the many diverse people who live here. Thank you for sharing your lives and your hearts with me. I carry them in my prayer back to the Lord for his blessing. Until we meet again, whether in this life or the next, may God hold you in the palm of His hand and fill you with His peace.

Doy gracias a Dios en mi oración al recordar las muchas bendiciones que Él ha derramado sobre la familia de la parroquia de St. Matthew estos últimos once años. Estoy agradecido por las muchas vidas que me acogieron durante mi tiempo pastoral con las alegrías y los dolores, las dudas y las preguntas, desde los inicios de la fe en las aguas del Bautismo hasta la culminación en los últimos ritos y la encomienda de nuestros amados difuntos. volver a Dios y todos los momentos sagrados en el medio. Estoy muy agradecida por las comidas compartidas, las historias contadas y los chistes.

Para todos los problemas y problemas presentes a lo largo de los años, elijo recordar más las tiernas misericordias y atesorar las gracias derramadas por el Señor. La familia parroquial ha crecido tanto en tamaño como en la inclusión de las diversas personas que viven aquí. Gracias por compartir sus vidas y sus corazones conmigo. Los llevo en mi oración de regreso al Señor para su bendición. Hasta que nos volvamos a encontrar, ya sea en esta vida o en la próxima, que Dios te sostenga en la palma de Su mano y te llene de Su paz.
