While the Sacrament of Confirmation is the end of the initiation into the faith, Confirmation is really the beginning of a new life where we become doers of the Word instead of only hearers. Confirmation completes the good work begun in Baptism and allows us through the strength of the Eucharist, to live a full and active life in the faith.
At St. Matthew, students normally receive the Sacrament of Confirmation during their 10th grade year. Students must be enrolled in the LIFE TEEN program for two (2) consecutive years before receiving Confirmation. Students will need to attend Confirmation Preparation classes during the two years in addition to the regular LIFE TEEN classes in order to receive the sacrament. The classes are part of the Sunday LifeTeen program.
