St Matthew, Pilgrimage to EWTN and the Shrine of Our Lady of the Angels
May 3-5,2022
St. Matthew parishioners have a pilgrimage scheduled to go to EWTN (Mother Angelica's Eternal Word Television Network) and the Shrine of Our Lady of the Angels in Hanceville, Alabama, May 3-5, 2022. Married couples and individuals are welcome. It is a wonderful spiritual opportunity to feel the Holy Spirit's presence. If you would like to go, reservations have been made for 16 people. EWTN and the Shrine do not charge for their shows and services but each person will need to pay $30.00 for a catered lunch at the Shrine and for bottled water and drinks for both days since there is no food or water available to purchase nearby. Any lunch money that is left over will be donated to the Shrine.
Activities at the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament are intended to offer pilgrims a time of silence, prayer, and serenity. The surrounding grounds include gardens, grottos, and paths for quiet contemplation. Activities at EWTN are intended to instruct pilgrims in the Faith and give them an opportunity to grow in holiness. Your trip will include a tour of EWTN and the Shrine, a healing service, a spiritual talk, times of prayer, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation. You will attend, if available, Father Mitch Pacqua's live TV show on Scripture and Tradition.
The cost is approximately $150.00 per person for a shared room for both nights. All meals, except the catered lunch, are paid as you go. Drivers are needed for carpooling.
Contact Bonnie Kaplan at 678 478 8581 or [email protected] to sign up. All are welcome but space is limited so sign up as soon as possible. Pilgrimage information sheets are available in the narthex.
