If you are seeking to have your child baptized at St. Matthew, we are glad to assist you!

As with all the Sacraments of the Church, Baptism requires careful preparation and time to get ready for the celebration.
To schedule a Baptism, please complete the following requirements:

Parents:

1. Be a registered member of St. Matthew. If you are not yet a member of the parish you may do so by completing the New Parishioner Registration Form.
2. Attend a Baptismal Preparation Class. Please call the Parish Office, 770-964-5804, to schedule the class.
3. Provide a Birth Certificate for the child.
4. Complete the Baptism Registration Form online.

1. Attend a Baptismal Preparation class. You may join the parents in the class at St. Matthew. If you attend a class at another parish, please provide us with a Certificate of Attendance.
2. Must be at least 16 years of age.
3. Must be a baptized Catholic who has received Holy Eucharist and Confirmation in the Catholic Church.
4. If married, the marriage must have taken place within the Catholic Church.
5. If unmarried, must be living a life consistent with a single person as defined by the Catholic Church.

Children, ages 7 or older, who need Baptism will participate in the Rite of Christian Initiation for Children (RCIC) Class which takes place on Sundays. Classes begin in September. For more information please contact the Parish Office, 770-964-5804

An adult wishing to receive the sacrament of Baptism will be prepared through the  Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) class, which takes place on Sundays from 12:15-1:45 pm. Classes begin in September.
